About Art:

In our classroom, we find that putting together jigsaw puzzles can be relaxing as well as challenging. So, I look for interesting & unusual puzzles. This picture was taken at the Wayne County Correctional Facility the first time this puzzle was completed. Who would have guessed that a map of the U.S. could be so hard? There are no state outlines, and no puzzle borders. The only way you know where a piece goes, is to judge AFTER you've put enough pieces together to expose an item that hinted at a location. For example: the space shuttle belongs in Florida; Elvis was from Memphis. There are Indian scenes, mountain ranges, rivers & lakes, Niagara Falls, Mount Rushmore, the Washington Monument, & much more. It was a wonderfully entertaining learning experience for all!    Chris Bray
